Mini Session vs. Full Session | Charleston Photographer

You did it! You finally decided to book that photographer to get new family photos that are long overdue and you now have to decide whether to book a mini session or a full session. It can be overwhelming to decide which one works best for your family. I am here to make it easier for you! Below are the reasons why you should book either a mini session or a full session. I hope this helps you decide, and of course if you have questions I am always an email or DM away!

Reasons to book a Mini Session

Mini Sessions are great for many reasons, here are my top 3. First, if you are a mom of little ones you understand how hard it can be to get those toddlers to do things. The mini session is perfect because they are short and sweet. You will be in front of my camera for 15-20 min and with my expertise in working with children and your love and care we can absolutely get amazing photos in that amount of time. Second, it is a great way to get a handful of updated family photos that will give you a glimpse into this season of your life. Third, they are a great deal. I only offer them 2-3 times each year and they are my lowest priced session. Booking mini sessions gives you the flexibility to capture your family multiple times a year to show their growth throughout the year because we all know they grow up way too fast!

Reasons to book a Full Session

Full Sessions are also great but for different reasons. First, you will get a beautiful gallery of photos that will last for generations and make a cherished family album. You will receive a much fuller look into what this season of your life is like. Second, we have more time to get creative and really put your family’s touch on your photos using different backdrops and poses. Third, it is an investment. When you book a full session you are not only investing in your family now but your family to come. These will be photos you will want to display for your kids, and show your grandkids and great-grandkids what life was like back in the good-ol'-days.

Overall, both Mini Sessions and Full Sessions have their place and are beneficial to you and your family for different seasons of your life. If you are unsure which one would be the best fit for you please contact me, I would love to help you decide which session would be best for you at this time!
